Gupta Kashi, Gupta Kashi or Gupta Kashi is a large town in the Kedar-khanda (Garhwal Himalayas) in the Rudraprayag district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, at an altitude of 1,319 metres (4,327 feet). "khanda" means "office". It is famous for the ancient Vishwanath temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, similar to the temple in Varanasi (Kashi).
